OnePlus Turbo Tipped

OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to launch a new gaming-focused smartphone lineup in China, with the OnePlus Turbo expected to make its debut soon. Ahead of the official announcement, several key specifications of the upcoming handset have surfaced online, offering a clearer picture of what to expect.

According to a Weibo post by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Turbo will feature a 6.78-inch flat BOE LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and a high 165Hz refresh rate, aimed at delivering a smooth gaming and scrolling experience. The smartphone is also said to weigh around 217.25g.

In terms of design, the handset is tipped to arrive in multiple colour options, including Lone Wolf Black, Wilderness Green, and Chasing Light Silver (translated from Chinese).

Powering the OnePlus Turbo could be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The device is expected to be offered in several RAM and storage configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB. Additionally, the smartphone is rumoured to pack a massive 9,000mAh-class battery, making it one of the largest battery capacities seen in a OnePlus device so far.

The leak also aligns with earlier reports regarding the phone’s display, battery size, and processor. Furthermore, the OnePlus Turbo series may include another variant. As per the tipster, both models could share the same 165Hz refresh rate and 9,000mAh battery, while the secondary variant may feature a Snapdragon 7-series chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. This version is said to come in Lone Wolf Black, Nova White, and Fearless Blue colour options.

Separately, an alleged OnePlus handset has been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform, as highlighted by tipster @ZionsAnvin. The listing shows a device with model number PLU110, which is believed to correspond to the OnePlus Turbo. The benchmark details suggest an octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device reportedly scored over 2.6 million points on AnTuTu, hinting at flagship-level performance.

With multiple leaks now pointing in the same direction, the OnePlus Turbo is shaping up to be a powerful gaming-centric smartphone ahead of its anticipated launch in China.
