Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Spotted — Surprise A-Series Rebrand Revealed

A new Samsung device has quietly surfaced on the Google Play Console’s Supported Devices list — the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G, signaling an imminent launch. As expected for Samsung’s M-series lineup, the phone appears to be a rebranded version of an A-series model, but its exact origin comes as a surprise.

Evidence strongly points to the Galaxy A07 5G as the source device. The model number SM-M076B aligns closely with Samsung’s naming conventions, while the codename “a07x” further supports the connection, indicating shared internal hardware and development lineage.

While details on the Galaxy M17e 5G remain limited, the Galaxy A07 5G offers clues about what to expect. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM, suggesting the M17e could carry identical specifications. The device is also expected to launch with Android 16 out of the box.

For now, Samsung has yet to officially announce the Galaxy M17e 5G, but its appearance on a developer-facing platform like Google Play Console typically indicates that a release is close. More information should emerge in the coming weeks.
